Another weekend coming to a close. So much to do…so little time. We were able to spend time with family today. Our annual trip to Sidney Cemetery to replace flowers on my Grams and Dad’s grave. The whole family comes up…even my sweet little cuz Mary from Florida. Then, off to Clifford Lake Inn for the traditional Sautéed Mushroom Appy, order lunch, then a toast to my sweet Grams. With no time to do any serious blogging (as my original recipe was a disaster that was supposed to be posted Friday), I figured Joe and I could post a cocktail.
“Beverages” seem to behave so much better than food sometimes. And, Three Sheets To The Wind has plenty of special little thirst quenchers to blog about. One being Joe’s Lemon Drop Martini. It helped immensely that it was 83 degrees out. Sadly, the pool is not open yet…as next weeks temps are calling for a whopping mid 50 degree week. But that is ok. We have all summer. Regardless, I needed to get something on the thankful table’s blog this weekend (because it’s only been a week and a half and I am having blogging withdrawals), and this was the perfect option.
The tart lemon and the little sweetness of the sugar/lemon juice rimmed glass, and the other necessary ingredients make this a perfect refreshing summertime drink when sitting around TSTTW (Three Sheets To The Wind) with family and friends. And they look so pretty to boot!
Sláinte!!!!!
